I pretty much offered them wiring job (installing new head unit) which should've been easy for auto electrician with over 30 years of experience. Got told that the owner( with over 30 years of experience) is the ONLY ONE WHO COULD DO IT and is not very excited about it. So we left... very lousy attitude! Quessing from this that rest of their workers just handing out tools?!

We needed a job on a trailer done. Day 1 the "apprentice" said it would be an easy job. Booked in for following day. Dropped off job and left. Received call to say that running a new wire from battery to back of car to take heavier load was needed. Took car back down and alternative solution was devised - connect to battery and fit plug about 30cm away. Sat with car for approximately 45 minutes to an hour while the Anderson Plug was fitted. Older worker/manager said that it would be around 500 total for the job. Picked up trailer late afternoon. Billed over 800. Checked invoice overnight and found overcharge for the Anderson Plugs. They took all day to investigate that and refunded the overcharge. Also charged 4.5 hours work at 100 an hour. The hour that was taken to fit the plug to the car, that left 3.5 hours to make a lead at 3m, strip connectors from the provided and mounted wiring harness, fit the leads to a plug and screw it to the side of the trailer. The office lady said that she watched the whole job and no refund on the hourly rate. 100 an hour labour!!!! We were told that was normal here. Bet it was the apprentice who did most of the job and we paid for his snail pace and lunch hour. Also most expensive Anderson Plug on the market at 36.36 for a pair of 175amp.
