I've had quite a few items fixed here over the years. I like that it is done in the shop and my jewellery isn't sent away to be fixed like some bigger chain stores. He can tell you upfront if it's worth fixing or not and discuss the repair, he's very honest and upfront with great advice. Thank you!
Best prices and service in innisfail. Some other places wont help if the product isnt purchased there, but victor is always willing to fix and clean jewelly no matter where it is purchased. such a great small business!
I HAVE BEEN GOING HERE FOR YEARS, TO BUY, REPAIR, CLEAN, GET BATTERY REPLACED IN WATCHES AND I HAVE NEVER EVER HAD A PROBLEM, ALWAYS SUPER FAST TURNOVER, SUPER FRIENDLY, ALWAYS HAS A CHAT, AND YES TO PRIOR COMMENTS, IF YOU GO IN TO PAY A BILL OF $7 AND USE A CARD OFCOURSE THERE WILL BE AN EXTRA CHARGE.... IF IT IS NOTOVER $10 THE OWNER WILL NOT BREAK EVEN, SOME PEOPLE DO NOT KNOW THAT EACH TRANSACTION ON AN EFTPOS MACHINE COSTS THE OWNER A FEE. I went to Victor jewelers shop in the center town of Innisfail last Friday to get my husband a new ring, remake from the old one as his current wedding ring is no longer fit on his finger anymore. And looking to get my jewelry a clean, rhodium plate. I walked inside the shop; there was only one gentleman work there at the moment. So I told him what I want, and the man, who I think that was Victor, said he could not do it in short time, everything is going to happen in Jan 2019 as Xmas and new year's holidays is coming in 10 days. So I told him I would be back when the shop reopens after new year then. I had also shown him my bracelet to see if he can fix it as the lock was on point, and I am worried it will break one day. He took it, and went back to his desk behind the counter, within 2 mins, he comes back, and it all done. AU$ 7 for the service.IT WAS ALL FINE; then an old couple walked in. I was about looking around to see if I can buy any else . asking a few more thing to see what else I can do with many little pieces of my pieces of jewelry. But then I did not want to waste his time as a couple behind me was waiting, I might ask him next time I come anyway .. so I check out, $7 in total, I Opened my wallet, but there was only a $100 note, and I want to keep it, so I said I would pay by card. He spoke very firmly again it was $7 cause he also looked at my note inside my wallet. I then confirmed again that I wanted to pay by card as I want to keep my note. Immediately, he turned around said, " Then it will be $ 11 including bank fee". SERIOUSLY !! $4 fee for a $7 transaction !!! Does any bank charge more than 50% fee. I was quite upset surprised as well. If he said $15 or $20 is the total cost to fix the bracelet, I would be still happy to pay, but definitely not $11 in this way. I am Asian, I live here in NQ for four years, and I always see myself as a local, so I am always supporting our local business. But anytime things like this happened to me. My mind raises a question: DOES THAT ALL HAPPEN TO ME ONLY BECAUSE I AM ASIAN?
